NIHR president receives Dutch envoy

Manama, Apr. 16 (BNA): The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)’s President Maria Khoury received Kuwait-based Deputy Head of Mission of The Netherlands accredited to Bahrain, Wicher J. Slagter. Khoury cited the cooperation and the joint training programmes between the NIHR and the Dutch Embassy throughout 2016 wherein representatives of civil society organizations, youth associations and media, received training. Slachter affirmed the Embassy's readiness to continue closer cooperation with NIHR to promote the principles of human rights through a programme organised by Dutch Foreign Affairs Ministry, to support training programmes in the field of human rights and democracy in the Arab region.
