Durian Buffets at CentralWorld

BANGKOK, April 19 (TNA) – Durian and fruit buffets are available for 479 baht per person at CentralWorld shopping complex in the heart of Bangkok. The Director-General of the Internal Trade Department, Wichai Phochanakij presided over the opening of the 4th Original Thailand’s Amazing Durian and Fruit Fest 2019 at Square B and C of CentralWorld today. The event will run until April 25. Promotional prices are offered to people, coming in a group of five people, who will pay for only four persons. Wichai said that in cooperation with large retailers - Central and Tops supermarket chain, the same event will be later held in other regions until the fruit season ends to boost fruit consumption among locals and tourists. Pattaraporn Penprapat, deputy managing director of Central Food Retail said the buffet tickets were sold out every round. Last year, 60 per cent of the customers were tourists. It is expected this year, there will be 130,000 tourists, tasting high quality fruit during the 7-day event. Varieties of fruit and desserts are available, including durian, rambutan, mangosteen, longkong, melon, watermelon, fragrant coconut and sticky rice with durian or sweet mango. Each round lasts for 60 minutes, starting at 11 am., 1 pm. 3 pm. 4 pm. 5pm. and 7 pm. (TNA)
