Electricity Minister receives Yokogawa delegation

Manama, Apr. 25 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received a delegation from Japanese company Yokogawa, led by Chief Executive Officer of the Middle East and Africa Region Pierre De Vuyst and comprising Abdulrahman Juma'a and Bassem Al Sharqi. Electricity and Water Authority Executive Vice President of Distribution and Customer Services Adnan Mohammad Fakhroo was present. The two sides reviewed the latest projects and investment opportunities in the electricity, water and renewable energy sectors. The minister praised the efforts of Yokogawa in major projects in Bahrain and the region in the field of electrical engineering, software and control devices. Yokogawa officials reviewed their latest projects and activities in the Middle East and Bahrain in particular. They expressed their desire to invest in existing and future projects carried out by the Electricity and Water Authority and the Center for Sustainable Energy and expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mirza and the officials for the good reception and hospitality. They appreciated his support and encouragement to invest in the sectors that fall within his competence and his endeavour to continuously work for the progress and prosperity of Bahrain. The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Minister Adel Al-Taho.
