The Deputy King receives the Former Chairperson of the Migrant Workers Protection Society

Manama, Apr. 29 (BNA): The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today received the Former Chairperson of the Migrant Workers Protection Society, Marletta Dias, at Riffa Palace. During the meeting, HRH the Deputy King highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to the protection and advancement of individual rights, outlining the Kingdom’s efforts to uphold these rights through extensive legislations and institutional mechanisms. The Deputy King stressed that these efforts are an integral part of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development led by HM King Hamad. In this regard, the Deputy King noted Bahrain's landmark achievements in the protection of migrant workers, which have received wide international recognition. The Deputy King concluded by thanking the former chairperson for her efforts in promoting migrant workers’ rights and wished the Migrant Workers Protection Society further success in achieving all of its goals. For her part, Ms. Marletta Dias expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the opportunity to meet with the Deputy King and welcomed Bahrain’s ongoing efforts in the protection of migrant workers.
