HM King meets French businessmen

Paris, Apr.29 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has today received a number of French businessmen on the sidelines of his current visit to France. HM the King welcomed the French businessmen, hailing strong historic relations, which span long years of joint cooperation and bilateral work. He stressed his keenness on meeting the group, as part of his visit to the French Republic, thanking them for their presence, alongside an elite of leading businessmen who contribute to Bahrain’s economic development. He highlighted the importance of such gatherings in diversifying and expanding joint cooperation, particularly in the sectors of energy, transportation, cultural, educational and tourism investment. “These valuable meetings provide an additional chance to exchange ideas and expertise for the future of our bilateral relations”, said HM the King. He expressed Bahrain’s great regret over the fire which swept through the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, wishing the historic church would be restored to its religious standing as one of French iconic monuments. “Bahrainis’ keenness on the landmark French milestone stems from their care and respect of worshipping venues of all religions and faiths, which are based in the Kingdom in total tolerance”, he said. He said that the followers of all religions and faiths living in Bahrain enjoy full freedom to exercise their religious rituals, supported by all individuals and institutions. He extended an invitation to all the attendees to visit Bahrain and have a taste of the Kingdom, as a beacon of peaceful co-existence between religions and cultures. “Your visit will also be another opportunity to follow-up results of this visit which will yield initial agreements, adding that Bahrainis hold in high esteem and welcome all visitors to their country, brothers and friends alike. He reiterated thanks to the group of French businessmen for their attendance and wished the gathering would yield fruitful results. The French businessmen paid tribute to HM the King, hailing his efforts to consolidate bilateral relations and expand trade, economic and investment cooperation.
