Inter-Arab Parliament rejects interference in Arab affairs

Cairo, Apr. 30 (BNA): The Inter-Arab Parliament (IAP) is categorically opposed to any interference in the internal affairs of any Arab state and to the targeting of its leadership, security, stability or the resolve of its people, IAP Speaker said. Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al Salami said the Inter-Arab Parliament is closely monitoring with deep concern the developments in the emerging crisis between Bahrain and Iraq. He stressed the importance of safeguarding the Arab principles regarding the issuance of statements and exchange of views to serve the Arab region’s interest, security and stability. He said the Arab nation is facing grave challenges at this critical phase that requires working together to consolidate Arab unity and solidarity and refrain from stirring disputes that only serve enemies of the nation. He expressed his trust in the leaders’ wisdom to prevail over the ephemeral crisis between the two countries and the spirit of fraternity between both peoples.
