AGU participates in IRTDE conference

Manama, May 5 (BNA): The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) has participated in the 2019 Biennial Conference of the International Research Association for Talent Development and Excellence (IRTDE) seminar, held in Taiwan on April 12-16, 2019. Reemiyah Hussain Al Mutairi was among the AGU academicians who presented a research paper on "Giftedness Cloud Model: Psychological and Ecological Vision of Giftedness Concept" supervised by Deputy Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, Professor Allaa Eldin Ayoub. Al Mutairi explained, "In this research paper, the analysis of talent models "Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses" was conducted with a preliminary specimen of 823 research papers and a final specimen consisting of 30 researchers after sorting them in accordance with specific criteria for inclusion and exclusion of research in the systematic review. The research results included the development a proposed integrated model for the detection of gifted persons from an ecological and psychological perspective." The paper introduced a modern "Giftedness Cloud Model GCM" to discover talents while taking into consideration social, cultural and technological changes witnessed over recent years. Within the frame of the General Circulation Model (GCM), Al Mutairi defined talent as a superior performance when compared to peers, resulted by an instinctive, acquired, active or still readiness, adding that it is activated by attention and passion.
