HRH Premier praises Executive-Legislative cooperation, MPs' opinions

Manama, May 5 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that strengthening security and stability protects the nation’s gains and consolidates development efforts. HRH Premier affirmed that strengthening the pillars of security and stability is the shared responsibility of the Executive and Legislative branches as they are "partners in facing various challenges, and united in building the kingdom’s present and future." HRH the Prime Minister stressed that cooperation and unified stances between the two branches are the best way towards success and achievement, noting that MPs’ opinions on the government cannot be overlooked. HRH Premier highlighted the government’s support for parliamentary work in order to enable it to achieve more success. The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, several members of the Council of Representatives, with whom he discussed topics and issues that interest the citizens. HRH Premier asserted that communication among Bahrainis is a deep-rooted value in the Bahraini society, noting that no one can affect Bahrainis’ rapprochement and cohesion under any circumstances. "All matters of interest to the citizens in the economic and political fields require more coordination and cooperation to maintain national achievements and optimise the citizens’ gains. There is no economy without politics or politics without economy, but some things need to be prioritised for the benefit of the nation and its people." the Premier said. "As a government, we will exert tireless efforts to implement the visions and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to contribute to achieving greater prosperity for the present and future of Bahrain and the coming generations," HRH Premier added. The Prime Minister praised the members of the Council of Representatives for their constant keenness to cooperate with the government in all matters relating to the affairs of the country and citizens, calling on MPs to be united and to adopt similar stances on everything that would serve the interests of Bahrain, and pledging every support for them by the government. HRH Premier highlighted his personal keenness to enhance cooperation with the Legislative branch, adding that directives have already been given to ministers and government departments on the need to cooperate and coordinate with the Legislature. HRH Premier emphasised that Executive-Legislature cooperation should be at its highest levels in order to achieve a better future and more prosperity for the Bahraini society, noting that in order to achieve that goal, the government is keen to strengthen cooperation with the Legislative Branch on everything that would benefit Bahrain and its people. HRH the Prime Minister reiterated the government’s support for all policies aimed at enhancing and maintaining the sustainability of the development process as the best means to preserve the gains in various fields. The Premier valued highly the role played by the members of the Legislative branch to strengthen the nation action march and achieve the citizens’ expectations their exercise of the constitutional prerogatives and constant endeavours to express the popular will and expectations. HRH Premier pointed out that the kingdom had gone through many events that had strengthened it and made more robust in dealing with various challenges. "Those who have not learned from the past, cannot feel safe about their present and future," HRH Premier said. MPs expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant keenness on meeting them in order to enhance the national action march, stressing that his approach based on communication with MPs have contributed to developing Bahrain’s democratic experience and given a special feature of positive understanding between the two branches, which, they said, have befitted Bahrain and its people. They lauded HRH Premier’s constant directives to ministries and government departments to make cooperation as the basis of their relationship with the Legislature, noting that the Premier’s directives have contributed to solving many issues that interest the nation and the citizens. They highlighted the Representatives Council’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the government on all issues, and to work with it for the sake of Bahrain’s progress and prosperity. They expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for visiting cleric Sayed Abdullah Al-Ghuraifi, as well as his efforts to achieve the interests of the nation and the citizens, affirming that the visit has had a positive impact on the hearts of everyone.
