Speaker receives Russian ambassador

Manama, May 5 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawziya bint Abdulla Zainal has today received Russian Ambassador to Bahrain Igor Kremnev and stressed legislative and legal support to ensure the efficient implementation of joint agreements to benefit the two friendly countries and peoples. The Speaker stressed keenness on bolstering relations between the Council of Representatives and the Russian Assembly (Duma) and building on the gains spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Russian President Vladimir Putin. She stressed the importance of strengthening parliamentary ties and expanding economic and investment cooperation and coordinating stances in regional and international arenas. The Russian envoy lauded steadily-growing economic and cooperation, stressing fast-developing trade exchanges between the two countries.
