Alba marks 5 million working-hours without LTI

Manama, May 14 (BNA): Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba),one of the world’s largest aluminium smelters, announced that it had successfully achieved a major Safety milestone of 5 million working-hours without Lost Time Injury (LTI) on April 30. “I am proud to say that Alba has a strong Safety and Health culture driven by employees’ ownership of Safety collectively,” Alba’s CEO Tim Murray said. “As we approach the hot summer months, we have to prepare well and step-up our efforts to ensure that Safety is always a priority. With extreme preparation and mutual commitment, we will go beyond the 5 million working- hours and set a new benchmark in Safety.”
