HRH Premier congratulated on WHO honour as World Leader

Manama, May 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today received congratulations from Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh, as the World Health Organisation (WHO) will honour him as a World Leader, which is an unprecedented step taken by the Organization. HRH the Prime Minister will be honoured in a high-level event at the WHO headquarters at the UN Palace in Geneva in the presence of heads of sates and governments and health ministers of the 194 member states of the Organization. The minister said the honour is an international recognition of Bahrain’s development achievements, thanks to the support of HRH the Prime Minister for achieving the sustainable development goals in the health field. It also reflects his keenness to ensure the application of best health standards and to provide high sustainable healthcare levels for citizens and residents. The minister said the new international honour reflects the wide-ranging global impact of HRH the prime Minister’s contributions at health level, highlighting that HRH the Prime Minister is the first personality to receive the honour at the international level. She took pride in HRH the Prime Minister’s visions, policies and initiatives in the health field, which contributed to bringing multiple successes in the same field to conform with the goals of the World Health Organisation.
