HRH Princess Sabeeka receives peace-keeping programme graduates

Manama, May 19 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), received at Al Rawdha Palace yesterday the Interior Ministry female affiliates who graduated from a programme to develop the capabilities of Arab women in the military and peace-keeping field which was held recently in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was attended by Women Police Director General and SCW member Colonel Muna Abdulrahim. HRH Princess Sabeeka lauded the outstanding performance of the Bahraini women who took part in the programme on maintaining peace in the world. She praised the graduates’ efforts in meeting the requirements of the programme successfully after three months of intensive training. She also took pride in the numerous achievements of Bahraini women mainly in the security and military field since their early enrollment in this sector in 1970. She pointed out the importance of such programmes in honing the experience and skills of Bahraini women in many fields like solving conflicts and maintaining peace and security. The graduates extended thanks and respect to HRH Princess Sabeeka for the meeting and valuable directives to continue serving Bahrain. They underlined the role of SCW in improving the status of Bahraini women as an essential partner in building the nation and ensuring its continuous development.
