Foreign Minister underscores Bahrain’s stance supportive to Palestinian people

Manama, May 19 (BNA): The Foreign Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, underscored the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain in support of the Palestinian cause and the aspirations of the Palestinian people. He emphasised that the Kingdom stands by all efforts that would lead to investment in infrastructure and the development of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and enable the Palestinian people to prosper. The Foreign Minister added that the "Peace to Prosperity" workshop, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain in partnership with the United States of America, will convene government, civil society and business leaders from across the region and the world. It will address the economic and investment needs of the Palestinian people, supporting the development of the region in general. He highlighted that the Palestinian people hold an important place in the hearts of all Bahrainis, and it is the Kingdom’s wish that Palestinians have the opportunity to live in stability and achieve their aspirations. He underlined the close partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, stressing their common interest in promoting thriving economic opportunities in Palestine and the wider region. The workshop will provide a platform for exchanging ideas and discussing strategies to stimulate investments and economic initiatives that could be made possible by achieving peace in the region. The Foreign Minister stressed that the next stage requires all parties to join forces and integrate efforts to create a bright economic future for the benefit of all peoples in the region.
