HM King receives invitation to attend OIC Islamic Summit in Saudi Arabia

Manama, May 20 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a letter from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to invite HM the King to attend the 14th Ordinary Session of the OIC Islamic Summit, hosted by the kingdom of Saudi Arabian at the end of current May. HM the King today at the Sakhir Palace received the Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmalik Al Sheikh, who handed over the letter. HM the King expressed thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the invitation, praising the fraternal ties, longstanding relations and cooperation between the two kingdoms and their people in various fields. HM the King highlighted Bahrain's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against threats to its security and stability, stressing Bahrain’s support to the Saudi measures to confront subversive terrorist acts to defend its security, stability and safeguard safety of its citizens and residents, emphasizing the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the Kingdom of Bahrain and region. HM the King hailed the Saudi leading role, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in preserving the Arab and Islamic unity and defending their interests. He wished the Islamic Summit success to serve the march of solidarity and joint Islamic action.
