PAKISTANI NAVY SHIP ON GOODWILL VISIT
KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 (Bernama) -- Two Pakistani Navy ships, Nasr and Badr,
will make a three-day visit here from Saturday to enhance defence relations and
promote goodwill between both countries.
According to a press statement from the Pakistan High Commission, here
Wednesday, the visit would provide mutual training and learning experience for
the navies of both countries.
During their stay here the crew members would undertake community and
welfare activities, besides the friendly sports fixtures, courtesy calls and
joint exercises.
Nasr, a combat support ship, is capable of providing fuel, water and stores
to surface ships and helicopters at sea for prolonged operations while Badr,
named after the famous battle of Badr fought by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the
year 624, is a leading warship fitted with the state of art weapons and sensors.
