Arab health ministers welcome HRH Premier's honouring by WHO

Geneva, May 21 (BNA): Egypt’s Health and Population Minister and President of the preparatory meeting of the Executive Bureau of the Arab Health Ministers, Dr. Hala Zayed, said that the Arab Group has lauded His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s honouring as a “World Leader” in the health field by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Dr. Hala Zayed stressed that WHO’s honouring of HRH Premier was in appreciation for his prominent role in enhancing general health in the kingdom, as well as his successful initiatives in the field of health, which, she said, has entitled Bahrain to be a leader in the health sector. She was speaking during the 52nd meeting of the Arab health ministers, which discussed the preparations for the 72nd World Health Assembly meeting at the UN headquarters here. Bahrain’s delegation to 72nd World Health Assembly, led by Health Minister, Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh, participated in Arab Health Ministers’ meeting.
