Shura Chairman lauds royal speech

Manama, May 31 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh lauded the speech of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at the emergency Arab Summit, in Makkah, which convened after an emergency GCC Summit in which HM the King took part at an invitation by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Shura Council Chairman praised the royal speech which underlined the need to boost pan-Arab cooperation to face regional challenges and threats to the national Arab security, including mainly the terrorist practices of the Iranian regime in the region. He pointed out the recent terrorist acts targeting oil supply through acts of subversion that targeted civil commercial ships in the UAE territorial waters, the two oil-pumping plants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and launching ballistic missiles on holy sites and civil regions in KSA. Al Saleh commended the leading role of King Salman and his hosting of the emergency GCC and Arab Summits as well as the Islamic Summit in Makkah in order to unify stances in facing regional challenges and promoting security. He praised the decisive stance shown in the emergency GCC and Arab summits communiqués in confronting interference in the countries’ internal affairs and deterring threats to regional security and stability. The Shura Council Chairman affirmed that the royal speech has sincerely expressed the aspirations of the Bahraini and all Arab peoples for a just, comprehensive and permanent peace in the region, including mainly solving the Palestinian issue.
