Holy Quran contestants honoured

Manama, Jun. 1 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs organised an honouring ceremony for “ambassadors of the Holy Quran”, the Bahraini reciters who won and participated in international competitions. The celebration was held as part of Laylat-al-Qadr (the Night of Decree) programme on Friday evening at Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre Mosque, in the presence of religious scholars, officials, MPs and ambassadors. President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa congratulated the honourees on their outstanding achievements and conveyed to them the greetings of His Majesty the King and his best wishes of continuous success.
