HM King meets Sudan’s Transitional Military Council Head

Makkah, Jun. 1 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met here the Head of the Transitional Military Council in Sudan, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan. HM the King expressed the kingdom’s pride in its strong fraternal relations with Sudan at all levels and in all fields, as well as its constant keenness to open up new horizons for bilateral cooperation for the best interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples. HM King Hamad affirmed Bahrain’s principled firm stance in support of brotherly Sudan under all circumstances, and standing with it during this current phase of its history, stressing the kingdom’s full-fledged support for everything that would safeguard Sudan’s security and stability, ensure consensus and unity among the members of the Sudanese people and meet the Sudanese citizens’ aspirations for more progress and prosperity. HM the King commended the key role played by Sudan in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, praising the Sudanese Army’s prowess and high competence in carrying out the tasks assigned to it in order to achieve the goals of the Coalition regarding the consolidation of security and peace across Yemen. General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan expressed deep appreciation of the stances of HM the King and the Kingdom of Bahrain in support of his country, which, he said, reflects the solid brotherly relations between the two countries and their peoples. He wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity, under HM the King’s leadership.
