Franchisees To Explore Franchise Venture Industry At MIRF

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 (BERNAMA) — The Malaysia International Retail and Franchise (MIRF) exhibition will be a platform for franchisees to explore the franchise venture industry, while businesses showcase their established brand names. Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) president Garry Chua said the exhibition will enable exhibitors, the industry and public to effectively engage with one another. He said the fourth MIRF will be centered around franchise brands and focus on the bilateral relationship between franchisors and franchisee. “Franchisees are able to view the benefits of a ready-made business operation that includes the products, services and even well-established brands recognition. “The franchisors will also benefit from the mutual relationship of growth, increasing brand equity, customer loyalty and international expansion,” he told a press conference on the MIRF here Thursday. The exhibition, scheduled for July 18-20, is expected to generate revenue of RM90 million for the exhibitors. Themed, “Franchise Forward”, It will showcase over 200 local and foreign exhibitors from various countries, including Taiwan, China, Vietnam and Singapore.It is projected to attract 18,000 local and foreign visitors. Meanwhile, organising chairman Raymond Woo said MIRF is a great place for innovation, economy stimulation, growth, development and exposure for businesses involved in the retail and franchise industry. He said there had been an increase of 30 per cent in booth sales and deemed the take-up rate as phenomenal. “We hope to continue this growth to become the leading exhibition for the retail industry in Southeast Asia,” he added. — BERNAMA
