S. Korean football player signs with Japanese club

SEOUL, April 3 (Yonhap) -- South Korean football star Lee Keun-ho will play with Jubilo Iwata of the Japan Professional League, his agent said Friday.

The 24-year-old attacker will play for the team until the end of the 2009 season
after attending a signing ceremony on April 8, Lee's management agency said.
Details of the contract were not disclosed.
Lee, who scored three goals in the final round of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers,
became a free agent in December last year when his contract with Daegu FC
expired. Lee has been seeking to join a European team.
The three-time J-League champion Iwata ranked at the bottom this season without a
win after three games.
Lee is expected to make his J-League debut on April 19, according to the agent.
