HM King receives HRH Crown Prince, visits BDF General Command

Manama, June 30 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at the General Command headquarters of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) today His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, and senior officials. He reviewed local issues aimed at bringing about more growth and got informed about the economic development statistics in the Kingdom of Bahrain which reached +2.7% in the first quarter of 2019. HM the King praised the positive results, stressing the need to continue exerting efforts to upgrade the government services and maintain the kingdom constant comprehensive development march for the best interest of the nation and citizens. He also thanked Bahraini Ambassador to Iraq Salah Al Maliki for his efforts to promote relations between the two brotherly countries in all fields. HM the King paid a visit today to BDF General Command headquarters where he was welcomed by Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Defence Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi and senior officers. HM was accompanied during the visit by Royal Guard Commander Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. HM the King reviewed the latest regional developments and the general stance expressing appreciation of the dedication, courage and determination shown by the BDF personnel in assuming their national duties. He also commended the advanced level of BDF weaponry, wishing all constant success.
