Arabian Gulf countries' security red line for Egypt

Manama, July 2 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal lauded solid relations and growing coordination between Bahrain and Egypt regarding various issues. She praised Egypt’s unwavering stance in supporting Bahrain’s security and stability and promoting joint counter-terrorism efforts. She pointed out Egypt’s distinguished efforts in boosting the Arab and African parliamentary cooperation as well as promoting the role of international human law. The Representatives Council Speaker was speaking as she met today her Egyptian counterpart Dr. Ali Abdul A’al as part of the participation in a forum on upgrading the parliamentary system which is currently held in Moscow. The meeting was attended by members of the Bahraini and Egyptian delegations. She asserted that the international parliamentary community assumes many responsibilities and vital duties that require continuous openness and work to serve mankind and achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs). She also noted Bahrain’s big strides in serving humanity and achieving SDGs in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. For his part, Dr. Ali Abdul A’al affirmed that the security of the Arabian Gulf countries is a red line for it is part of Egypt’s security. He underlined Egypt’s unwavering stance in rejecting foreign interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs and all practices and terrorist plots aimed at undermining regional stability. He praised strong fraternal relations between Bahrain and Egypt and their perpetual growth in various fields. He also emphasised support to boosting the role of parliamentary work to achieve SDGs and serve mankind, lauding Bahrain’s growth and prosperity in the prosperous era of HM the King.
