HRH Premier receives Filipino foreign ministry official

Manama, July 9 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister commended the continuous progress of the friendship and cooperation ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Philippines Republic in various fields. HRH the Premier affirmed the importance of bolstering the bilateral ties in the interest of both friendly countries and peoples. This came as HRH the Prime Minister received Sarah Lou Y. Arriola, Undersecretary of the Philippines Foreign Ministry for Migrant Workers’ Affairs, in presence of Ambassador Alfonso A. Ver and several of the Philippines Embassy staff. During the meeting, HRH the Premier expressed delight at the joint efforts exerted by the official in both sides to boost the vistas of cooperation to more advanced levels. HRH the Premier emphasized the Kingdom’s keenness to develop the cooperation ties with the friendly Republic of the Philippines in various fields in the interest of both friendly countries and peoples. HRH the Premier stressed the importance of coordination and mutual support between Bahrain and the Philippines in the various regional and international functions and events in supporting the issues of both countries and boosting their weight and influence at the various regional and international organizations. HRH the Premier praised the efforts of the Filipino resident community in Bahrain affirming that they will continue to receive utmost attention and patronage as part of the Kingdom’s keenness to ensure the rights of expatriate workers from the various nationalities as the genuine commitment of Bahrain in safeguarding human rights. The Philippines' official expressed her gratitude and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his attention and keenness on boosting the existing cooperation between both friendly countries, and affirmed her country’s appreciation of the essential role of His Royal Highness in boosting the Bahrain-Philippines relations in the various sectors. Arriola affirmed the Philippines Republic’s aspiration to continue to develop its excellent bilateral ties with the Kingdom of Bahrain, and opening up more areas of cooperation between the two countries. The Philippines' official expressed her country’s appreciation of the care and respect accorded to the Filipino community in Bahrain, and praised the Kingdom’s keenness on the application of international standards for the protection of expatriate workers and lauded Bahrain’s modern laws that positioned Bahrain in its advanced international status of protection of the universal rights of workers.
