HRH Premier receives outgoing UK ambassador

Manama, July 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received the outgoing British Ambassador to Bahrain Simon Martin.
HRH the Premier lauded the ever-growing historic relations between the two countries based on mutual comprehension, respect and keenness on bolstering cooperation and partnership in various fields.
HRH the Prime Minister praised the role of the United Kingdom in supporting efforts to spread security, stability and peace in the world, considering its influential and effective position in the international decision-making process.
HRH the Prime Minister reaffirmed Bahrain's keenness to further consolidate its ties with the United Kingdom and open new horizons for cooperation that will serve the interests and meet the aspirations of the two countries and the welfare of both friendly peoples. He added that he was looking forward to closer bilateral relations in the economic, commercial and investment sectors.
HRH the Premier stressed the need to exchange experiences between the two countries and enhance ways to benefit from the United Kingdom's expertise in various fields
He also hailed the efforts of the British ambassador during his diplomatic term in Bahrain to bolster bilateral ties, wishing him success in future assignments.
Ambassador Martin expressed his deep appreciation to the Government, under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister, for all the services and facilities that contributed to the success of his diplomatic missions during his tenure.
He also praised HRH the Premier’s attention and care to strengthen Bahraini-British relations in various fields.
The ambassador conveyed his country’s appreciation of Bahrain’s support for the United Kingdom and for all that enhances security and stability in the region.
He expressed his satisfaction with the time he spent in Bahrain, where he touched on the extent to which the Bahraini society enjoys a civilized approach and openness on different cultures. He wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
