Allegations about fuel price increase denied

Manama, July 14 (BNA): The National Oil and Gas Authority has denied allegations recently been circulated on several social media accounts about increasing the vehicle fuel prices in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Several social media accounts have circulated allegation saying that starting from yesterday onwards the premium 95 octane fuel would be increased to become 234 fils/liter, the good 91 octane fuel to become 152 fils/liters and 190 fils/liter for the diesel fuel.
The National Oil and Gas Authority affirmed that the premium and good fuel prices are maintained at 200 fils/ liter and 140 fils/ liter respectively.
Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) also denied the same allegations, stressing that there has been no increase in fuel prices. It confirmed its commitment to supply the local market with its needs of fuel and energy products without the intention to increase the existing princes.
