HRH Crown Prince thanked by UN Migration Agency Chief

Manama, July 16 (BNA): HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today received a cable of thanks from the Director-General of the UN Migration Agency, Antonio Vitorino. Vitorino expressed appreciation of HRH the Crown Prince’s efforts that contributed to the success of the Kingdom of Bahrain in maintaining its Tier 1 status in the US State Department’s 2019 Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report. He also praised Bahrain’s efforts to maintain the same for the second consecutive year, as the first country in the Middle East and North Africa to achieve Tier 1 status, which reflects its commitment to the international standards for the elimination of human trafficking. Vitorino commended the ongoing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UN Migration Agency for combating human trafficking and protecting the expat rights. He wished HRH the Crown Prince good health and happiness and the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
