Minister of Foreign Affairs meets Assistant Secretary of Near Eastern Affairs

Washington, July 17 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met with the Assistant Secretary of Near Eastern Affairs, David Schenker, within the framework of his official visit to the United States of America. Shaikh Khalid congratulated Schenker on being appointed to this position, wishing him success in his duties. He expressed Bahrain’s pride in the historical relations with the United States, which are constantly developing at all levels. He also hailed the mutual keenness on continuing and enhancing coordination towards various regional and international issues, appreciating the relentless efforts and strategic steps taken by the United States to establish stability and security in the region. Schenker stressed the keenness of the United States to bolster cooperation and coordination with Bahrain at all levels and on many issues, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
