Manama: July 25 (BNA): King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence Board of Trustees’ Chairman Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa received this morning Riyadh-based Australian Embassy to Bahrain Second Secretary and highlighted Bahrain’s experience in promoting peaceful co-existence.
He underlined Bahrain’s strides; hailing the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to disseminate the values of tolerance, encourage dialogue and harmony between all social segments, stemming from the bases underlying Bahraini society for hundreds of years.
“The heritage of peaceful co-existence date back to more than 3000 years; whilst other regimes then bent on repression, persecution and racial and religious discrimination”, said Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa.
He highlighted Bahrain’s openness, cultural and racial diversity, respect of differences which contributed to bolstering development, security and stability in all fields, underlining Bahrainis’ loyalty to the leadership during crises, especially the 2011 events.
