Bahraini ambassador to Belgium attends work lunch by US ambassador to NATO

Brussels, July 26 (BNA): Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium, Dr. Bahia Jawad Al Jishi, the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, and the representative to the European Union and NATO attended a working lunch hosted by the Ambassador of the United States of America to NATO, Mrs. Kay Bailey Hutchison, in honor of the ambassadors of the member states of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, at the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in the Belgian capital, Brussels. During the meeting, consultations were held on ways to enhance cooperation between the countries of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative and NATO, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments. Dr. Bahia Al Jishi praised cooperation between the countries of the Istanbul Initiative and NATO, and noted the need to continue the political and military partnership especially after 15 years of the initiative. The ambassador commended the establishment of the Regional Center in Kuwait in 2017, stressing the need to strengthen and enhance its role and benefit maximum potential for further cooperation and exchange of experience between the parties. The Ambassador of the United States of America to NATO stressed the importance of the role played by the countries of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative and their cooperation in the fight against terrorism and maintain regional security and peace, she also praised the strategic cooperation between NATO and the initiative countries, which is a strategic ally of the alliance.
