Auditor General visits UAE State Audit Institution

Abu Dhabi, Aug. 5 (BNA): Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor-General of the National Audit Office in the Kingdom of Bahrain, headed today a delegation to the State Audit Institution of the United Arab Emirates where he met with Dr. Harib Al Amimi, President of the State Audit Institution in the United Arab Emirates. The visit is part of NAO’s continued efforts to cooperate with other supreme audit organisations to share knowledge and enhance capacity building in the audit field. During the meeting, the two parties reviewed their experiences of working with public institutions under their audit mandate and ways of improving governance and performance as well as promoting transparency and accountability in the public sector. They further discussed cooperation in the field of training to ensure best practice in their audit work. The delegation included Shaikh Abdullah Bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Deputy Auditor-General Administrative Audit, Qasim Ahmed Al-Madhoob, Assistant Auditor-General Performance Audit, and Mohammed Fouad Sater, Head of Public Relations.
