HM King holds call with British Premier

Manama, Aug. 5 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa held a phone call with new British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and congratulated him on his election, wishing him every success in performing his duties and responsibilities. HM the King took pride in long-standing historic relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, hailing solid ties which are founded on strong bases of joint work and mutual respect. He commended strenuous UK-led efforts and pivotal roles to support regional and international security and stability, affirming Bahrain’s keenness on enhancing joint political, security and economic cooperation and other fields. HM the King reiterated Bahrain’s continuous sustained work, coordination and consultation with the United Kingdom to tackle all issues and different threats confronting the international community. The British Premier expressed deepest thanks to HM the King, reiterating his country’s keenness on strengthening strong relations of friendship with the Kingdom of Bahrain. He commended Bahrain’s dedicated efforts to consolidate regional stability, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
