Foreign Minister receives phone call from Indian counterpart

Manama, Aug. 6 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received a phone call today from the Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. The Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the solid historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of India, noting their development in various fields in the benefit of both countries and people. Dr. Jaishankar commended the vital role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in developing global cooperation and consolidating peace and security at the regional and international levels. He also wished the Kingdom further progress and prosperity. The two sides discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
