Lao-Germany further cooperation on business

(KPL) Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry held meeting on creating opportunities for cooperation on business between Lao and German entrepreneurs in Vientiane on 2 April.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Siewsavath Savangsuksa and Deputy Minister of Economy and Technology of Germany, Dr. Bernd Pfaffenbach, co-chaired the meeting. More than 180 representatives of government sectors, German international organisations and business people attended the event.
The aim of the meeting is to further relations on commerce and investment between Lao and German businessmen and to create opportunities for them to meet and discuss possibility in business cooperation.
At the meeting the representatives from the Ministry of Planning and Investment presented investment opportunities in Laos, and those from the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented the role of businesses in mitigating the impacts of the world economic crisis.
The achievements in doing business with German investors were also highlighted at the event.
