SINGAPORE'S PR GROUP VENTURES INTO ABU DHABI

SINGAPORE, April 6 (Bernama) -- Singapore's top integrated marketing communications group, TNBT Worldwide, Monday inked a joint-venture agreement with Abu Dhabi conglomerate Emirates Link Group (ELG) to tap new business opportunities in the Gulf region.

TNBT which currently operates in the Southeast Asian market will set up its
new outfit "TNBT Emirates" in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab
Emirates by the third quarter of this year, according to the group chief
executive officer (CEO) Palani Pillai.

TNBT which has offices in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Manila and Brunei, comprises
CRUSH Advertising, BANG Public Relations, BOOM Event Management,
REAP Interactive, RAGE Brand Consultancy and CULT Out-of-home Media.

The joint-venture agreement was signed by Pillai on behalf of TNBT Worldwide
while ELG was represented by its CEO Iyad Al Ansari in a ceremony at the Raffles
Hotel here.

Pillai said the alliance with ELG, a company with diversified
interests ranging from energy to industrial development, would enable TNBT to
reach out and serve the needs of the Gulf region, particularly Abu Dhabi which
plans to establish itself as a media hub in the Gulf.

He said TNBT would initially focus its business in Abu Dhabi, which annually
spends about US$1.2 billion in advertising or 25 percent of the total
advertising expenditure of the Gulf region countries.

It will then venture into the entire Gulf in the next couple of years.

Meanwhile, Iyad said TNBT Emirates had strong business potential as Abu
Dhabi's economy was still growing despite the global recession, saying the state
with S$4 billion worth of investments in hand, would achieve a nine percent
growth this year.
