Minimum salary to increase as of May
Hanoi (VNA) - The monthly minimum salary for state employees in Vietnam will increase to 650,000 VND (36.5 USD) from the present 540,000 VND as of May 1.
According to the Government's decree issued on April 6, the new salary will be
applied to state-owned agencies, armed forces, political and socio-political
organisations and non-productive units.
Employees working at enterprises established under the Law on State-owned
Enterprises, and one-member limited liability companies wholly owned by the State
will also enjoy this change.
The minimum salary at 540,000 VND was applied as of January 2008.-Enditem
