Yemen, US review combating piracy efforts
SANA'A, April 08 (Saba) - Chief of General Staff Ahmed al-Ashwal and US Navy Forces Central Commander William Gorteny, who is currently visiting Yemen, reviewed here on Wednesday the two countries' joint efforts in combating sea piracy.
During the meeting, the two officials dealt with means of strengthening the efforts
to achieve security and stability in the region as well as securing the
international navigation routes in the Red Sea and Arabian Seas.
The meeting also discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the two friendly
countries in the military training areas so as to serve both countries' common
interests.
