Vietnamese girl out of Indonesian Masters

Hanoi (VNA) - Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh of Vietnam was knocked out of the women’s singles semi-finals at the Yuzu Indonesia Masters badminton tournament on October 5 in Malang city. Linh lost to Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand 21-11, 16-21, 21-14 in 54 minutes. Buranaprasertsuk is the tournament’s No 4 seed and world No 43, while Linh is world No 62 and No 6 seed. In the final on October 6, Buranaprasertsuk lost to Wang Zhi Yi of China 22-20, 15-21, 13-21. The event had a total prize fund of 75,000 USD./.
