Najib Razak INDIA SENDS CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO MALAYSIA
KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 (Bernama) -- India looks forward to working with newly appointed Foreign Minister Anifah Aman, to take the two countries to a higher level.
Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee in his congratulatory
message said India-Malaysia relations were based on the firm foundation of
cultural, social and maritime links, which had been reinforced in modern times
by shared interests, concerns and values.
"It is a multifaceted relationship which has acquired new depth and dynamism
in recent years. We are happy that our engagement in regional and multilateral
spheres has also progressed in a satisfactory manner," he said in his message
which was faxed to Bernama by the Indian High Commission, here, Friday.
Pranab said he was looking forward to work with Anifah to build a stronger
India-Malaysia partnership which proceeded from a strategic perspective and
taking advantage of multiple synergies, untapped potential and emerging
opportunities.
Anifah was sworn in as foreign minister before the King
Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at National Palace here Friday.
