FIVE MALAYSIANS TO SELL PAINTINGS IN US
KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 (Bernama) -- Next month, five Malaysian artists will leave for the United States to sell 20 of their paintings for a minimum of US$15,000 (US1 = RM3.6) each.
The five, who call themselves 'Matahati', will put their paintings on
display at DCA Fine Art Gallery, Los Angeles, for potential buyers to peruse the
items.
The display will be from May 9 to June 16.
DCA Fine Art Gallery founder Delia A. Cabral said: "If the feedback of art
enthusiasts in Los Angeles is encouraging, we will send them to Dallas, San
Francisco, Chicago, New York for a three-year tour exhibition.
She said this after launching the 'Matahati ke Matadunia' exhibition at
National Art Gallery here Friday.
The Matahati group comprises Ahmad Fuad Osman, Ahmad Shukri Mohamed, Bayu
Utomo Radjikin, Hamir Soib@Mohamed and Masnoor Ramli Mahmud.
