Market rebound fuels hopes for full recovery

Hanoi (VNA) - The VN-Index rebounded sharply 13.33 points on April 10 to close at 325.05, a rise of 4.28 percent, fuelling hopes of further market increases in the short term.

Trading volume reached 28.2 million shares with a turnover of about 645 billion
VND (36.2 million USD). The most active stock was Sacombank (STB), which generated
orders for 4.8 million shares. Second place went to PetroVietnam Transportation
(PVT), which generated 1.3 million shares.

Foreign investors continued to be net sellers, responsible for a net volume of 3.2
million shares, worth 55.6 billion VND (3.1 million USD). Foreign investors showed
most interest in Pha Lai Thermal Power (PPC) shares, picking up around 466,000
units.

In Hanoi , the HASTC-Index advanced 6.36 percent to end the day at 118.58, a
rise of about 7 points. Trading volume reached 19.1 million shares, with a total
value of 453.6 billion VND (25.5 million USD).

Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) led the northern exchange with 2.1 million shares,
followed by Bim Son Cement (BCC) with 1.8 million.-Enditem
