HM King invited to 40th GCC Summit

Manama, Dec.4 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has today received a written message from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, enclosing an invitation to attend the 40th GCC Summit, which will be held next week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. HM the King received today, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani who delivered the message and briefed HM the King on preparations ahead of the GCC Summit. HM the King extended thanks to the Saudi monarch for the kind invitation, wishing the summit success to further consolidate the GCC march and deepen common cooperation to achieve the aspirations of the GCC nationals and build on major gains in all fields. HM the King hailed the wisdom of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as his dedicated efforts to bolster the GCC common march and pivotal role to bolster regional security, stability and peace and protect the interests of countries and peoples and advocate their causes. HM the King also commended the dedicated efforts exerted by the GCC chief and all the General-Secretariat personnel to consolidate coordination and complementary ties and follow-up the implementation of resolutions.
