S`PORE, M`SIA, BRUNEI ATTORNIES-GENERAL TO MEET

By Zakaria Abdul Wahab

SINGAPORE, April 13 (Bernama) -- The Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) of
Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei will meet for four days at its fourth annual
meeting at the Sentosa island resort here, beginning Wednesday.

The annual event is a formal recognition of the historically-close, legal
relations among the three countries, as well as the similarities in their
legal systems, according to AGC Singapore Monday.

Besides serving as a forum for the exchange of legal knowledge and
experiences, the event provided an opportunity to foster friendship and closer
rapport among the respective AGCs, it said in a statement.

Law Minister K. Shanmugam will deliver a keynote address at the opening
ceremony for the event on Thursday.
