HM King deputises his Personal Representative to attend musical concert

Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa deputised his Personal Representative and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Environment Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa to attend a musical concert organised at Bahrain National Theatre today by Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA). The concert was attended by ministers, ambassadors, senior officials and invitees. On arrival, the national anthem was played. Then, Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa headed to Bahrain National Theatre’s hall where the concert started marking the kingdom’s celebrations of its national days in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the anniversary of His Majesty the King's accession to the throne. BACA President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa gave a speech in which she extended sincerest thanks and gratitude to HM the King for patronizing the concert which reflects the Bahraini people’s allegiance to the leadership. She also thanked Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Environment Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, lauding his interest in supporting efforts to boost the kingdom’s civilisational and cultural achievements. She also thanked artist Khalid Al-Shaikh and all the other participating artists in the concerts for their creative art which showcases the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage and highlights the Bahrain’s accomplishments under the leadership of HM the King. The concert featured national songs and beautiful shows which demonstrate high patriotism and social cohesion. The concert also underlined Bahrain’s rich civilisational and cultural heritage from the Dilmun civilization to the era of HM the King. At the end of the concert, Shaikh Abdullah greeted the participating artists, the organizers and guests of the kingdom who were invited to the concert.
