Assistant Foreign Minister receives EU Delegation head

Manama, Jan. 5 (BNA): Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabur Al-Doseri, received the Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation, Ambassador Michele Cervone D’urso. The Assistant Foreign Minister praised the progress of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union in various fields, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness to further develop bilateral cooperation for the benefit of both sides. He noted the Kingdom’s achievements in the field of promoting human rights at all national and international levels, highlighting the laws and principles introduced to consolidate the foundations of citizenship and safeguard human rights and fundamental freedoms through an advanced legal system and modern policies that achieve sustainable development, justice and security in accordance with the highest international standards. The Assistant Foreign Minister praised the efforts of Ambassador D’urso in supporting joint work in various fields to achieve common goals. Ambassador D’urso praised the level of cooperation and joint coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union at all levels, praising the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in developing human rights. During the meeting, a number of topics of common concern were discussed.
