SCIA receives Egyptian Ambassador

Manama, Jan. 9 (BNA): President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, received here today the newly-appointed Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain, Yasser Shaaban. Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed welcomed the ambassador, and wished him every success in carrying out his diplomatic duties to serve the two countries and their brotherly peoples. He affirmed the depth of the Bahraini-Egyptian relations in various fields, praising Egypt’s great and pivotal role in defending the issues of the Nation and enhancing joint Arab and Islamic action for the sake of achieving security and stability. The two sides reviewed the good relations between Bahrain’s SCIA and Egypt’s Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Endowments Ministry, and Dar al-Ifta (Al-Iftaa House), in addition to issues of mutual concern. The ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to the SCIA President for the meeting, valuing highly the efforts exerted by the SCIA to deepen relations between the two brotherly countries.
