Speaker receives Indian ambassador

Manama, Jan.19 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal stressed strong bilateral relations binding Bahrain and India, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Indian President Ram Nath Kovind. The Speaker made the statement as she received today Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha, hailing India’s deep-rooted history and civilization and longstanding democracy, cultural diversity and keenness on respecting the rights of all citizens and consolidating the values and co-existence. She stressed the two countries’ keenness on strengthening bilateral relations and supporting joint cooperation, hailing the role of the Indian expatriate community in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She hailed India’s solidarity with the Bahrain, reiterating the Kingdom’s support to Indian and joint stances against terrorism and interference in other countries’ internal affairs. She stressed keenness on developing joint economic and investment ties and bolstering cooperation with the Indian Parliament in all Asian and international arenas.
