HM King’s Personal Representative attends Camel Festival

Riyadh, Jan.26 (BNA): Deputised by His Majesty King Hamad bin Is Al-Khalifa, HM the King’s Personal Representative His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa attended the closing ceremony of the 4th King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, which was held at the Al-Sayahid, in the city of Riyadh. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud patronised the festival, in the presence of crown princes, royalties, heads of delegations of countries participating in the event, and invitees. Bahrain’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa and other officials and the media delegation were also present. The Saudi monarch received HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who conveyed greetings from HM the King, wishing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques abundant health and happiness and the brotherly Saudi people further progress and prosperity. Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa hailed longstanding fraternal relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing HM the King’s keenness on Bahrain’s participation in the heritage festival. He commended the success of the camel festival which reflects deep-rooted Arab authenticity and revives a deep-rooted Arab heritage and festival. Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa attended the festival during which the Saudi Royal anthem was played and verses of the Holy Quran were recited. Saudi Camel Club Chairman and festival general supervisor Falah bin Hathlin also delivered a speech on this occasion. The Saudi monarch handed over the prizes to the top winners of the 4th King Abdulaziz Camel race Festival. He also attended the last two camel races in the “Al-Hil” category. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud handed over the prizes to the top winners of the King Abdulaziz Camel Mazayen Award Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al-Khalifa praised the crucial role of the Saudi Arabia and dedicated efforts to hold the annual festival which reflects Saudi Arabian deep-rooted heritage in the history of the Arabian Peninsula.
