Speaker: Investing in human element is national priority

Manama, Jan. 30 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal has stressed the importance of the efforts of civil societies and institutions in promoting the democratic approach and in contributing to social development as part of their responsibilities within the reforms launched by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She also stressed the need for continuous keenness by all establishments, institutions, societies and bodies in the public and private sectors to invest in the national human element and to make it a national priority in line with the directives of HM the King. Bahrainis are both the pillar and goal of development and continue to support Bahraini youth since citizens are the most important component in building a prosperous future for the country, the Speaker said as she received a delegation from Bahrain Society for Training & Development (BSTD), led by its honorary president Dr. Ibrahim Al Dossari. The Speaker praised the society's efforts in disseminating and sharing knowledge and experiences that contribute to human development in Bahrain and its interest in organizing training programs that give Bahraini citizens skills and capabilities in the field of human resources in a way that motivates institutions and ministries to hire them. The delegation presented to the Speaker the honorary membership of the society in appreciation of her support to the programs and activities provided by national institutions in the fields of charitable and humanitarian work and their backing of investments efforts in developing Bahraini human resources.
