Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary meets Philippines’ official

Manama, Jan. 30 (BNA): Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa today met at the Ministry’s General Court Chief of Presidential Protocol and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Philippines Robert Eric Borje, currently on a visit to the Kingdom. The two sides reviewed relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Philippines. They reviewed the aspects of existing cooperation between the two countries, especially in consular affairs, stressing the importance of continuing fruitful cooperation between the two friendly countries at all levels to serve the interests of both sides. The Undersecretary expressed her aspiration for high-level bilateral visits between the two countries that reflect the depth of cooperation and friendship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Philippines. The Philippines’ official praised the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Philippines and the attention the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain attaches to the Filipino community as well as the latter’s comfortable stay in the Kingdom. He was hopeful to continue the fruitful cooperation between the two friendly sides in all fields to meet the aspirations of the two friendly countries and peoples. This visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations and the ever-progressing bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.
